Appearance: A

“I mean, hello? Just look at him.  He’s a stunning 26 lbs of Maine Coon cat flesh complete with a gorgeous, fluffy brown tabby coat, golden yellow eyes, and the mane of lion. There’s no denying he’s one sexy beast.”

Sociability: B

“While he doesn’t always like being the center of attention, Elijah does like to be with other people. When the roomies and I are watching TV, he’ll saunter out and join us on the couch. If I leave the room to go to another one, he’ll usually follow me out. He doesn’t usually initiate interaction with strangers but certainly doesn’t oppose the attention. And he’s never bitten, scratched or hissed at anyone, ever (one of the perks of socializing him with a puppy when he was a kitten…he thinks he is one), so major bonus points there.”

Usefulness: C

“Unless lying around looking gorgeous and eating lots of food is useful,  he’s not really. When there’s a bug in the house, he lets the little cat do the hunting. But he is great for a good snuggle.”

Huggability: A

“Elijah loves to spoon. No joke, it’s his favorite thing to do. He’ll be the little spoon to my big spoon or the big spoon to my other cat’s little spoon. Nothing gets this big boy purring like being tucked in, head on the pillow, spooning with one or more creatures. He’ll even do it with his favorite caterpillar toy. I don’t know what he’s going to do when I have a real man in my life.”
